Design a Creative Splash Page in Photoshop

2-19-08Category Filed under Designing & Photoshop Tutorials

Step 1:
Let’s start out by creating a new file. I used a 600×600 pixels canvas set at 72dpi, and I filled my background with #002330 color shade.

Step 2:
Make a new layer set( Layer > New > Layer Set) and name it ‘Concept’. Now select the Rounded Rectangle Tool from your tools palette then above your screen under the options palette choose Fill Pixels, set the radius to 60 px and check anti-aliased. Create a new layer and draw a rounded rectangle with the same color as the background and 208×260 px dimensions.

Step 3:
Under Layer Style(Layer > Layer Style) add an Outer Glow and Stroke blending options to your rounded rectangle from step one.

Step 4:
In a new layer draw another rounded rectangle with #009AD3 color shade and 208×257 px dimensions. Place it on the center of your design.

Step 5:
Under Layer Style(Layer > Layer Style) add an Inner Glow, Gradient Overlay and Stroke blending options to your second rounded rectangle.

Step 6:
Create a new layer and draw a black rounded rectangle with 20×163 px dimensions.

Step 7:
Under Layer Style(Layer > Layer Style) add a Gradient Overlay blending option to your black rounded rectangle. Then set the layers blending mode to Lighten.

Step 8:
Add the same transparent design on the other end.

Step 9:
In a new layer draw another rounded rectangle with #002330 color shade and 178×233 px dimensions.
