Create a Rusted Metal Sign in Photoshop
1-24-08Step 7:
Under Layer Style(Layer > Layer Style) add an Inner Shadow and Gradient Overlay blending option to your black rounded rectangle.



Step 8:
Still with your black rounded rectangle layer, set the blending mode to Lighten on your layers palette.

Step 9:
Duplicate your ‘Metal Sign’ layer set and go to Layer > Merge layer set, this should turn the duplicate layer set into a layer. Then on your tools palette set the background color to white and go to Filter > Distort > Glass.

Step 10:
Still with your layer from the last step, set the layers blending mode to Lighten on your layers palette.

Step 11:
Select your Horizontal Type Tool and above your screen under the options palette set the font family to Showcard Gothic, regular, 70 pt, strong and black for color.

Step 12:
Under Layer Style(Layer > Layer Style) add a Color Overlay and Pattern Overlay blending options to your text layer.

Sign is good but the text could use some work. I almost want to say it could look better without the pattern fill - maybe just make it transparent and have the black outlines on the text show?
