Metal Wires Text Design in Photoshop
6-11-08Step 1:
Let’s start out by creating a new file. I used a 600×300 pixels canvas set at 72dpi, and I filled my background with a white color. Make a new layer set and name it ‘Metal Wires Text’. Now select the Horizontal Type Tool and set the font family to Elephant, regular, 64 pt, strong and #00EB0B color shade. In a new text layer type your name.

Step 2:
Under Layer Style (Layer > Layer Style) add a Drop Shadow blending option to your green text layer.

Step 3:
In a new text layer type your name again nudged up by a couple of space with the same green color shade.

Step 4:
Under Layer Style (Layer > Layer Style) add an Inner Shadow and Gradient Overlay blending options to your second text layer.

Step 5:
In another text layer type your name in black on the same location as your second green text layer. Then on the layers palette right click on the black text layer and choose Rasterize layer. Now that your text layer is just a normal layer cut the top half.

Step 6:
Under Layer Style (Layer > Layer Style) add an Inner Glow and Pattern Overlay blending options to the half black tex layer. Then set the layer’s blending mode to Lighten.

Step 7:
On the layers palette highlight the ‘Metal Wires Text’ then go to Layer > Merge Layer Set. Now go to Image > Adjustments > Desaturate, this should turn your text color to black and white.

Step 8:
Go to Filter > Sharpen > Sharpen More.

Step 9:
Under Layer Style (Layer > Layer Style) add a Pattern Overlay blending option to your Metal Wire Text Design layer.

Step 10:
That’s it your done.
